There's me thinking things can't get any worse after my tomatoe blight, but now my squash are diseased with what looks like blight as well.
Has anybody else experienced this?
I'm going to harvest them anyway and see what transpires or should i not even be thinking about eating them?
I think you probably mean Black rot, also known as Gummy stem rot? Normally dark brown spots getting increasingly large with very noticeable rings in the browning?

Sarah I can highly recommend them too! They have some great stuff, and the service they give is good too. (plus the way they word their notes under the pics on the web site makes me smile, as it sounds so unstuffy!)
What you could do, if you have the space, is harvest the fruit and remove the diseased parts and the skin. Then cook and freeze what remains. I have never eaten frozen squash but it is available commercially over here so someone must like it!
yeah good idea, maybe i could make a pie then freeze it
