We applied to the Parish Council for an allotment but they have no suitable land - it's a small village in Beds. But they put us in touch with some land owners who might help. One has offered some suitable land but we'll need to have an appropriate agreement. Anyone know of a model agreement we could use as a basis?
Also, it's on the edge of the village and there are no services there, so no water supply. How much of a problem is this likely to be? We can instal a bathtub or two to catch rainwater and we intend to have a small communal garden store on which we could instal guttering to catch some, ,too. But for 12 of us - i.e. 12 plots - we doubt that will be enough.
How do others in a similar position cope?
don't know if the national association could help with the agreement, might be worth a look at their site N.S.A.L.G

hope the link works :)

Folderol,
Only this week in the national press a farmer up in the Nort East turned one of his fields into allotments to rent out and the demand was huge, would an approach to a local farmer of this type might be suitable for you , what kind of aggrement exists I would not like to say :),
