And the next thing today is - don't buy large or very large eggs - they're painful.

I had one a while back, and I wish I'd taken a pic. I was buying jumbos, which are so big they barely fit in an egg carton. This one was easily double size, and single yolked.

worst is 'jelly eggs', look just like an ordinary one but when you pick it up, it wobbles   :-X ;D

   Don' t, please don't,   --  wobbly eggs !!!   can't cope with wobbly eggs when

   there cooked,   not in their shell too !.    If I kept chickens [ which I am thinking about ],

   what can I look forward to   ----    come on spill the beans !?  .             :)

eggs with no yolk, ones with a soft shell, get hold of it and your finger goes through,  pooey eggs (don't wash until you're going to use them) ;D
don't worry, they're few and far between, and it can be sorted with some grit..don't let it put you off, they're well worth the effort  :)

    Are there test you can do   ---   float them in water ?   etc,

never done any tests on ours, sometimes just take out of the nest and put it in water to eat  ;D
we don't have cockerels so can't have fertile eggs, they all taste lovely..btw, I use the 'funny' ones to bake with  :)
