Title: Shiner (ouch!)
Post by: Georgie on March 08, 2009, 18:20:09
Don't ask me how I managed it but today when I was in the garden the clip in my secateurs didn't catch properly and the handles flew open, one of them striking me just under my right eye.  I've got a 'nice' bruise now but thankfully it's not painful - it could have been a lot worse.  Take care out there folks!

PS Feel free to laugh at me  ;D

Youch.  Funny how these gardening impliments aim for our eyes!  Always get something in my eye when gardening....there is the whole of my face to hit, but no, the eyes have it every time!

Glad you are okay though, and have a nice shiner to show off.  Now you need to think of a really elaborate story to explain it to every person that is bound to ask you over the next few days.  ;D

Thank goodness it wasn't your eye, which definitely wouldn't have been a laughing matter!  xx

Have you got any arnica. That would help with the bruising.

Watch the looks your OH gets when you are out together  :o.

One foreign holiday I got stung on the side of my eye by a mozzie. My eye was really swollen and nearly closed up. I got so many enquiring looks, but not half as many as my hubby got  :P

Hope the bruising goes down soon.

Jo.

Thanks.  Lyssi has said nothing. I assume she thinks I've been messing around with finger paints!   ;D
