Seen on another site. If posted before apologies. Cost free, postage at the end is also free. You have to give credit card details. Not sure why it's all free but I've given it a try and it's accepted order for 0 pennies. Might be worth a try 10 seed pots, new hunter variety 2nd earlies. Heres the link http://www.mr-fothergills.co.uk/catalogue/product/14930/
Ta 4 that, bit of a weird one-off one. Can't resist a freebie though.
tah for a friend :D
Thanks for that have sent for mine ;D ;D ;D
im a bit concerned about a site that asks for your credit card details for something FREE !!!
Yes i agree about C C details, why on earth would they want your details for a freebie. I have applied for freebies no postage either, never been asked for C C before. No go area for me i am afraid.
i have enough potatoes but
the cc details prove that you are who you say you are, that the address they are sending them to is yours
lbb
well ordered mine its worth a punt to see if they arrive or we get an email stating they made a mistake :P
thanks. just ordered mine.
I have bought from Fothergills before (so they already have my CC details anyway). I think that is their automated checkout process for paying for seeds but in this case they are free.
Great find for sure.
Love a freebie but will be steering clear of this one, thanks anyway. ;D ;D ;D
Taters arrived this morning....free gratus for nothing, thank you
Same here, cheers medears. Had to search for info so thought I'd post it here, save energy! Can't do a link but search on Scottish Agricultural Science Agency. :)

Suppose that you could always report your card as lost after placing/receiving the order and get a new one with a new number.
Just to be safe.
I've been away for a few days and came back to find my box in the porch... on its side in comparison to the arrows and the 'live plant' notice!!! Thank goodness it wasn't seedlings!
Can't believe it!!! They arrived today. I'd resigned myself to the fact that Fothergills had rumbled their mistake and I'd be the only one not to get the tatties. Apparently it was a mistake they were only meant to be free with something else they were promoting. Good that they've honoured the orders though. Think these spuds will go in containers lottie is full ;D
Got mine too. ;D
Thanks for the link.

So when are you planting yours?
It's still a bit cool up here so mine are "chitting" away for another couple of weeks.

Mine are chitting away as the potato bed hasn't been dug yet. Has anyone ever tasted hunter potatoes?
Janet
Hi Folks,
Just wondered how your free Hunter spuds are doing?
A couple of ours have "collapsed" with all the rain lately and when dug up the haums were wet & plodgy with only a small haul of spudies. :(

The plant that has collapsed changed from the dark green leaves to a lighter green.
I think the same could happen in the rest as seen from one near the center.

The spuds did taste very nice though. ;D
