Title: Greenhouse runner beans
Post by: Pink Fingers on March 06, 2009, 14:28:17
Asking on behalf of a friend who says she has now lost her greenhouse beans.  Apparently these are specifically for growing indoors, very flat pod and ready early.  Anyone heard of these or shall I just put it down to her age and that she has lost her marbles as well?

I've read that Yard Long beans prefer to be under glass but they're not particularly early. Can;t say I've ever notice a 'greenhouse variety'.

Aren't all beans happy under glass/in polytunnels?

May be worth a try if you have a big greenhouse or plenty of room....

I tried some "yard long" and Lablab beans in the big greenhouse last year, to no effect... undeterred I'll be trying again this year, think I put them in too early.
