Another seed/plant swap in our neck of the woods:

Don't be confused by the name Seedy Sunday - it's actually being held on a Saturday!
Kiddy in the sweet shop time again for me tomorrow!

At least with these "sweeties" you don't end up needing fillings... ;D
Hope it was a successful day. :)
Went to this swap yesterday which was run mainly by the Real Seed company (which I can recommend). Helpful people there with advice freely given. Also advice given regarding saving own seeds which helps with the ethos of keeping things local. I took various commercial seeds which I no longer needed and half a dozen seed potatoes and came away with the following own seeds:
Pea : Telephone Climbing
Carrot : D'Eysines
Leek : Yellow-tinged
Calabrese : Quick heading
Mangetout : Bijou
Tomato
Cucumber
Also a Black Hamburg grape cane
and Comfrey plants
Now I really must get on and clear some more ground on my plot so hope the weather improves next week.
Telephone is similar to Alderman. I grow mine up wigwams made with 8-foot bamboos with lots of string spiralled round to give them something to grip.
