Why aye mon, welcome to A4A
I think your best bet is tell what you like ( there is no point growing something you don't like) and we will take it from there.
Try courgettes, nice and easy and prolific.
Potatoes.
Runner Beans.
All the above are very easy to grow.
Hi teegee
Travel to Morley Leeds each night as they say alright thingy ???
The things that did well for us when we first started were spuds, beetroot, broad beans, runner beans, peas, lettuce, onions and cabbages.
All of these are easy to grow.
moderator must not like the saying all right c..k a Yorkshire greeting I am told
Unfortunately the easiest thing I found to grow was couch grass!!
Make sure you get weeds out as much as you can before you plant, and you protect your seedlings - nets / slug pellets at least until things are established.
Last year we had loads of potatoes, strawberries, courgettes, radishes, rocket, beans, mange tout, sweetcorn.
Onions from sets, Cabbage and Spinach(Beet) are almost fool proof but no good if you don't eat them. Leeks for winter. PSB...
:)
Great advice will try to grow as much as possible space allowing will eat anything except garlic ;D
There is nothing stopping you from growing what ever you want, but you have to realize where you live you are about a month behind in getting thing started.
I am just South of you on the coast and found that the only thing i have not been successful with is growing tomatoes,s and cucumbers outside.
If you have a greenhouse you are off to a good start, if you have one with heat that is even better.
