The HSL one I had was very definitely heart-shaped (anatomical not "image") but yes that would be lovely... a few of those red and yellow ones would be lovely...

I thought I might be overdoing things with 30 plants of 5 varieties

Costoluto Guenovese
Shirley
Moneymaker
San Marzona

Compared to the quantity some others are planting I don't feel so guilty ;D ;D

Quotein thestates they are called taters why i havenot a clue

Don't really know why ? but I will offer a suggestion;

In the UK some people call potatoes 'taters' and as they are both of the same family this might be a clue.

Plus I think tomatoes in the USA are grown in fields in a similar way as to how we in the UK grow 'taters' (potatoes) so this may be the connection.

to my understanding 'taters (tatties) is just a dialect contraction of the word Potatoes... but Tomatoes could undergo a similar change to 'maters and then assimilate to taters...  :-\
