Went to see Mom this morning at the rest home. The poor cook there has to do about 50 pancakes. Tone asked her if she did take away ones. I won't tell you what she said. lol

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. First time ever in over 40 years I forgot. Youngest daughter phoned & asked if we had had ours yet. Breakfast is difficult as we are both gluten/dairy free so we can have them in the morning.

Also like them with Bacon and maple syrup!

I made the mix but had the oldest son cooking them in preparation for cooking for himself next year....he did well only mine was overcooked and singed round the edge :(.

I like all the eating traditions 8) so I made savoury pancakes last night, my fave, but we call them crepes (but I can't do the circumflex) but they're the posh pancakes, really thin...and I filled them with fish & shellfish in a white wine sauce.

They  freeze beautifully so I've got a batch in the freezer, layered between sheets of greaseproof paper.

Prolly have them in the summer when I have a mid-summer party - with Xmas pud & clotted cream for afters ;D
