Title: Gogi Berries
Post by: springbok on February 22, 2009, 21:17:24
I have been given gogi seeds as a gift from my mom, and the packet does not tell me when is the best time to sow.
Can  anyone advise :)

Thanks x

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but isn't it the Gogi Berry which Joe Swift had to dig up last year because they weren't British?

Are you sure they're British?

(Don,t shout me down here, I'm only a beginner, I might be wrong  ;D)

Jo.

Fully legitimate :)
They are packeted in the UK by a firm called Julian graves Ltd.

Apparently NEW out this year!

They can be sown now, generally people say you should sow them either in the autumn when seeds are collected from fresh berries or in early spring when collected from dried berries.

Gojis are very large plants with a height of 8-12' & spread of 4-8' space might be an issue if you still only have your garden to grow things in.
There is a growing guide here:
