Title: belle de fontenay potatoes

Has anyone tried these .I wondered  what they taste like ,I bought a small bag to try.

They're a very nice salad potato (though not particularly early), which keeps its flavour & texture. The books say that it improves with storage, but I haven't grown it often enough to comment on this.

On my soil it produces fairly small potatoes. If it's size you're after, go for Charlotte; taste & texture are nearly as good. But my current favourite is the French variety Roseval; couldn't find them for sale this year, though.

They are the best!  I grow them every year.   Apparently they can be grown as an early or a maincrop but I tend to put them in early as I can't wait that long to eat them...

YES!! I grew these last year and LOVED them.  :P Bought more for this year.

They are very tasty but we didn't get a huge crop.  They didn't have any in the garden centre this year so I'm trying something else.
