If you go into your local supermarket and look at there cut flowers you will notice they are in a plastic bucket about 10" across and about the same deep with no holes in them , I use these for growing toms / peppers in and put a ring of holes about 3" up from the bottom to make a 3" water table in the bottom.
I know my local somerfields and coop will give them away if you ask , but sometimes they ask for a donation into a charity box. :o :o
Thankyou for thinking of us all Carl but I think almost everyone on here uses them. We even have a Hyacinth Bucket woman on here lol
that's no problem , just don't like to see good plastic buckets binned
I cut the bottoms out... then plant them in grow bags... :)

i have just got a load of these, my sis is a manager of a co-op so i will have endless suplie. ;D
Hyacinth thank's for the reply , and spudsmummy i had the same thing as my partner worked for somerfield on fresh produce so use to bring them home.
I just knew that the buckit woman would turn up
I have just got a load of these pots for my peppers. I wont put the holes 3 inches up though as peppers hate sitting in water and catch diseases very easily this way. They much prefer to be dry.
