Had a "Pallida " but lost it a couple of winters ago, must replace it... smells great, have you got any sweet box Froglegs? Not a spretty but again great scent..  :)

Am I right in thinking Winter Sarcococca / Sweet Box / Christmas Box are all the same? We have one (or all  :) ) of them outside the the back door - great smell.

Sorry to interrupt the Witch-hazel thread.

My mother gave me a witch-hazel.  I've re-potted it just once in four years but although it is yellow flowered, I'm afraid I don't know the variety.

Is it the case that Sarcococca gives off more scent in the evening? I was disappointed that I could barely smell mine, but when i came up the path the other night the whole garden smelt lovely!
