Title: Mad mad wildlife!
Post by: knbsallotment on February 16, 2009, 20:49:22
I seem to have an abundance of wildlife on my four plots. I feed two stray cats, and I have a rather friendly blackbird which eats from the same bowl as the cats AT THE SAME TIME! We also have a beautiful munkjack (unfortunately he is very destructive) who is very friendly - one of the only animals I've come across that eats courgette and squash leaves - as well as the courgettes themselves. Plus the local rabbits are once again in abundance, now the mixi outbreak is over. God bless them - even though they refuse to help me and eat the weeds!!!

Do you have to fence off the whole plot then knbsallotment?  I imagine the rabbits could clear everything.

knbsallotment,
muntjack make good eating (if you're that way inclined), & yes, they are very distructive.
They also seem to be moving north at an alarming rate. Expect to hear of a cull in a few years?
