Am feeling really pleased with the progress we have made on our plot.

This was Sep 07 when we first took on the plot:

After the success of last years raised beds

the plan has been to build a few more.

Last year we had a 30'x30' area that we filled with potato trenches.

This was the area when we dug it over at Easter last year (bindweed nightmare):

Since the end of the season we have been concentrating on this area. We have now managed to get in a number of new raised beds and a raspberry frame.

The job for this half term is to clear the 'pile' in the centre near the oil drum. We will be building three 3'x3' compost bins here We have a few more beds yet to go in, but got the woodchips down today.

Sparkly: Well done. You obviously know what you're doing. But a lot of hard work and determination. I love how neat and tidy it looks now--and it's quite a large allotment, isn't it. Marvellous.

been a good couple of days work :) It is really satisfying when all the ideas we have come up with for layout etc are starting to take shape. :)
