Title: Torvill and Dean
Post by: Borlotti on February 14, 2009, 20:18:38
Looking forward to watching Bolero tonight.  Told the grand children that had to watch it, but got big sighs.  Hope it is good, anyone else excited about it.

I have always loved T & D. I watched it live on the night they won in 1984. There has never been another pair of ice dancers to match them. I have taped the programme to keep also.
Is anyone watching Dancing on Ice?

enjoyed it, but why oh why do we have to cut into people talking over the performance!
I would rather have watched the whole 4 mins and however many secs as it was............just them and the wonderful  music......even my 16 year old was groaning everytime someone put their comment in!

We both enjoyed it. Tony was saying how different it was then for sports persons. They had to carry on working for most of the time whilst they were training.  When they did get to the top there were no priviledges bestowed upon them apart from getting the freedom of the town they came from. They were the real dedicated breed.

Watched it even though had set the sky plus box to record it just in case I forgot or fell asleep.

I still have a video tape of their original performance which I still occasionally take out & watch.

I also agree that the voice over during the dance was soooooo annoying.  Why can't TV presenters understand that the viewer does occasionally like silence?

The OH was watching it so I was in and out of the room and caught a few seconds here and there, but I never realised at the time all the fuss and pressure they was under regarding the music.   ???     ;D ;D ;D
