Title: First seeds up!
Post by: caroline7758 on February 14, 2009, 11:31:51
Got that excited feeling- my first seeds of the season have germinated! They are beetroot, which I've never grown before, so please tell me if it's too soon! They are in modules in the house.
Also a couple of Gardener's Delight- does what it says on the tin! :D

Congratulations Caroline. My red cabbage are through but no sign of my onions yet.

I'm sure I read somewhere that valentines day is traditionally the day to sow tomatoes so your doing well.

Oops-just realised I'd mixed up my labels and it was Calabrese that came up first. Just spotted some red stems on the new seedlings in the tray next to them and realised they must be beetroot! ::)\
Couple of aubergines up now too.

My Shirley Toms are up and My own saved seed of Costiluto and the Plum Toms I got from Tunisia. I'm really chuffed cos I really didn't think they would be viable. Peppers are taking a bit longer though
