Ooh,lucky you- I love that area too- although when we went to Holy Island last August it was pouring with rain and everything was shut because there had been a power cut! Good job we'd been before!
We are going to a "Love Party" at a friend's. This is the 3rd year she's done it. She's single and asks everyone to bring a valentine's card to swap. She makes a "love potion" and heart-shaped pink bread and biscuits and makes us all sing a love chant. Yes, she is a bit loopy, but it's fun!If anyone lives near Glossop, you're welcome to joiun us!
OH presented me with a rather unusual Valentines gift whe he got home last night ....
... it's a pack of kippers ;D ;D ...They are special ones, home smoked from a friend of his with his own smokery.
It's not everyone who gets kippers for Valentines day!! ::) :-*
Steaming past the allotments on its way to London:

Staying home alone, as OH is working........thought I would have a lovely evening to meself, hoping daughter would sleepover at a friends......bubbly bath, bottle of wine and girlie stuff on the telly, but youngest has informed me that I can't be home by myself on Valentines, so has insisted she and her mate have dinner with me and stay here..........guess who is cooking it! ::)
At work for 12 hours as not got an OH to buy me choklit or flowers etc. Plus the time & half will come in v.handy when hit the garden centre next week

Now that's impressive.......wow :o
Well done :D
Roses are red
But violets are bluer
I spent St Valentine's Day
Shifting manewer
should really have a bath, but i'll be doing the same thing tomorrow, and it seems just a waste of hot water :o
Scored browny points by having flowers delivered this morning for OH, we took little Archie to the Valentines Fair in Leeds and went on lots of rides. No baby sitter tonight but Granny Grumps is having Archie tomorrow so we are off into Leeds, shopping, cocktails, Valentines lunch at Bibis followed by more booze....
No allotment this weekend..
Drove to London with lunch for daughter and family, drove them to their allotment, planted shallots, shared out Charlotte seed potatoes with her illegal sub - sub- letters, tried to dig out nettles, lent hand tools to 4 tiny children, weeded strawberries, took tiny children for a walk to view the really dreadfully neglected plots of this allegedly middle class site (Greenwich) with a 3 year waiting list....
Also had a look at their broad bean plot - gaps - gave tiny children chitted beans - fill in the gaps in 2 or 3 weeks....
