Title: Peat Pots
Post by: nippie on February 12, 2009, 19:23:31
Sounds like a reality competition winner doesn't it?? ;D
Sorry I have been away so long, I'm back because I need help as usual ::)
Are sweetpeas ok planted in peat pots to start them off? Should they be planted on ? Mine are about 2" diameter are they ok in these until they are planted out?
Thanks folks, in advance.

I plant them in standard pots and they do OK. Plant them out as soon as the temperature gets a bit more reasonable; if you put them in a cold frame meanwhile they won't grow much.

I'm a bit behind this year they are usually well under way. I have always done them in ordinary pots but thought I would try the peat pots this year.
Then I thought, ummmm the pots have to be kept moist at all times, will this rot the "pea"?
