Title: Covers for little greenhouses
Post by: FrankPool on February 08, 2009, 18:34:38
Hi, i`ve got one of those four shelf greenhouses with a clear plastic cover and a couple of zips up the front. The problem is the cover has sort of disintegrtated now and I was wondering if anyone knows where to get spare covers from?

Many thanks, Frank

Most garden centres & diy stores sell them or you can buy them online.

Thanks for that, just what I need.  B & Q and Homebase don't seem to do them, so will try this link, will save me buying a new one and they are very useful for bringing on seeds in by small garden before taking to the allotment.  Thanks again.

Just looked on the above site.  The product is cheap enough but then they sting you with postage for almost £5.  You can buy a new one for the total cost ::).  May be worth it if you purchased 2 covers ::) ::)

Didn't think to check the postage as I only ever shop instore with that company (there are 3 branches locally). If the cover was the only item you wanted it would be worth contacting them & either buying it over the phone or asking them to list it in their ebay shop where postage is not so generalised. It's usually Bryn who deals with the internet & phone orders & I am sure he would offer discounted postage considering it is such a small item.
The ebay store can be found here.

You could always just get a new one... the structure can be reassembled as an excellent frame for nets over sprouts etc... or used as it is for seed trays etc Our Wilko's usually stock them... (and seperate covers)  ;D

I've mended tears in mine with transparent duct tape (not cheap in itself, but useful for other things as well). Not ideal as I can't use the zips, but I keep the door shut with bungee hooks.
