all the snow has me thinking about a nice bowl of warming soup I've got celery and cheese on the go anyone else feeling souper? ;D ;D ;D

oh did that last week with a ham hock from farmers market it was fab really warming and filling yum :D

I'm about to make a butternut, ginger and cream soup for tea tonight.  The ginger really gives it a warming zing  ;D

OH has already made two gallons of French Onion... to use up the last of last winters onions and a couple of gallons of squash based... Punmpkin Leek and Potato, and Pumpkin and Ginger...  :)

think I'll try something different tomorrow, I meaure it in ammounts to fill flask makes a wonderful change from butties or salads

OK I know it's easy to make your own soup but here's an idea for quickness. The supermarket carton and container soups are lovely but to add extra nutrition and flavour cook extra vegetables (and pasta or rice if desired) first in a little water before adding the soup and warming up. (Don't drain the water used to cook veg, etc. It will add to the taste and make the soup go further.)

Add cooked meat/fish or grated cheese and you have a lovely quick meal.

I'm a newbie OK, following in the steps of hubby Robinaber. Just chose the Avatar from those on the site as I like Bob Marley! Will change it at a later date when I can find a suitable one.

making parsnip soup and butternut and cumin ready for packing up this wekk cos I think its gonna be cold !!

wonder if theres a choclik soup to warm you up and cheer you up.....?? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
