Duke
haven't got one but looks good will watch posts with interest ;D ;D
Personally I wouldn't touch it. It is of very limited use as a deep fat fryer although it has plenty of other features the Morphy Richards Intellichef which is around the same price looks like a much nicer product although again not a fryer.

Then of course there are the safety issues with the Actifry.

Hi Duke,
A big don't buy one. A friend had one and I thought it was the answer to my chip prayers as I cook an awful lot of them but can't stand oven chips. So she lent it to me. I used it a couple of times and I can honestly say they no way taste like a fried chip. If you don't mind oven chips then that is what you would end up with when using this machine, so I couldn't see the point of spending all that money on one and it seemed to take forever to cook them, so a waste of electricity.
A thumbs down from me.

Hi
Thanks the comments regarding this. Having read your opinions I have decided not to buy one. Funny how the reviews on the Lakeland site are good ones!!
Thanks
Duke :)
I have had one for about 14 months and I love it. I have never had any issues with sparks or smoke. Granted, my son, doesn't like the chips it creates - he prefers crispy skinny chips done in the oven but OH and I love the chips it makes. I also use mine to stir fry veggies and have cooked piles of onions in it when we were having a barby. Nope, you can't make deep fried food, but then we try not to eat anything deep fried anymore so it suits us just find.
