Title: Supplier of Round Stakes
Post by: thomasb on February 01, 2009, 19:37:15
I am looking for 7-8 ft long, full round stakes, with 2-3inch top diameter.
Does anyone know of any on-line companies that sell these and would also deliver?
I am doing a project in my garden and am after about 30.

Thanks

Saw some in Wyvales in Farnham Common reduced to £1 each a while ago. Didn't check the length or diameter, just thought they were a bargain.

I got mine from my local buiders supply yard - they use them for tree posts

Look in the phone book for a local sawmill, definitely your best and cheapest bet.

Is there a SCATS over your way? I found them to be very reasonable...

Do you have a farm supply shop anywhere near you. We bought some 51/2' ones last week for 98p + vat. I think the 7' ones £2.95 +vat. Petty you're not in Cheshire.

Hi

Like Ollie we got ours from Scats, they were by far the best price - the nearest to you would be Newbury I think.  Failing that a timber yard type place?

Good luck.
