Title: I am sorry, i could not resist.
Post by: Flunky on January 29, 2009, 11:04:57
I have confession to make.

I bought my seed potatoes yesterday and now going to start chitting them.

I have planted some. I know, I know. I am addicted.

What do you think about this ?

I got 2 old tyres, lined them with plastic sheeting, made loads of holes and used soil I prepared with manure last year. I then planted 3 tubers. When (if) they grow I intend to keep adding soil and tyres. They are in my greenhouse and i am hoping they are pretty well insulated.

Also, as I took 6 tyres away from the garage he knocked £3 off cost of changing of my spare. God bless him. The thing that really made my day is that when I went to get my seed spuds they were selling planters for between £13 and £29. Get in. HE paid ME.

Any thoughts on this are greatly rcvd.

I've put some in buckets, they're in the shed at the moment, that might be a bit warmer than my cold greenhouse. Put some fleece over the top to protect the plant tops and keep your fingers crossed.
