Title: what is well rotted?
Post by: grannyjanny on January 23, 2009, 21:02:32
We have the chance of some well rotted manure. It's 4 years old & is indoors. We just have to bag it up, he's not even charging us. OH is concerned that there will be little goodness left in it.  Do you think it's worth using or is it past it's sell by date?
Janet.

Even if the nutrient content has decreased a bit from leaching etc it will still be excellent "soil" to grow almost anything in... snatch his hand off... ( those Ulster Sceptre will love it!)  ;D

Thanks SD. Got the US potatoes. £2.99 for 38 seeds. Hope you get sorted with your Piccasos. I did look but they hadn't got any. We will get the manure next week. If it's that good I'll keep it to myself. If the stuff that is being used on our site was any fresher it would still be in the cows. Hope you have a great day out tomorrow.
