Title: What do i do with the germinated seeds now?
Post by: nilly71 on January 22, 2009, 20:02:53
After experimenting with seeds http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/smf/index.php/topic,48277.0.html (http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/smf/index.php/topic,48277.0.html) i need to know what to do with the seed now ???

Do i just pot them up but lay them on their side before covering with compost  or seed mix?

I know i should of thought about this before starting the seeds off, but i'm inpatient ;D

throw 'em away! you found out if they were fertile. but they are of no use as seeds to plant on. start some more in compost / seed mixture of your choice at the appropriate time! be patient, it's only january!! ;)  ;D ;D ;D

Yes, too much hassle and heartache trying to grow them on this early in the season...  :(

I thought i would try the leeks as they say on the pack that they can be sown in Jan ???

No great lose to throw them away.

Thanks for the replies.
