We are thinking of buying a compost tumbler for the nursery school to make their own compost, they are expensive though - does anyone have one and are they any good ? They claim to make compost much quicker than the normal compost bins.
My first thought is will the little people be capable of turning it? Personally I consider them a total waste of good money. However, if they are strong enough to turn the drum it could get rid of some hyper.
A couple of the staff visited another nursery and the kids there turn it so cant be too difficult. The one they have his over £400 - I thought that was very expensive, so this is why I thought I would ask the opinion of you good folks on here :) They have made quite a lot of compost and they have been using it in the nursery garden and also bagging it and selling it to parents
You could make several wooden ones and have loads of money left over for next year's seeds ;D
£400....ooooooh way too much money
Here's a link for making one: http://www.instructables.com/id/Compost_Tumbler_1/ (http://www.instructables.com/id/Compost_Tumbler_1/)
I have no idea if the're any good ???
