Not a disease, but a pest of a husband ::)
He sprayed the fences with one of those new fangled sprayers. he also sprayed all my raspberry canes in the process. This was in september and the leaves that are still on are a wonderful chestnut brown colour.
Will the plants take in any chemicals that will make the raspberries poisonous?
I hope I wont have to lose the crop this year :(
cj :)
I take it these are summer fruiting rasps? if so, they should have droppedtheir leaves by now! I'd strip off the leaves by hand. The fruit in the summer will be carried on new growth, and the plant doesn't normally take in chemicals through the bark.
If you don't want to risk eating them, pop 'em in the freezer, I'll drive over to pick 'em up at the end of the picking! ;) ;D ;D ;D
Thanks.
The leaves must be glued on with the preservative ;D
Glad I wont have to waste a whole years crop.
