I've got everything I need all ready to start sowing my first seeds of the year, HUGE pile of 9 hole and 6 hole module seed trays courtesey of my uncle, even larger pile of every conceivable sized pot from freecycle, nice big bag of compost, big bag of labels from when I worked for Tenax many many years ago...and the seeds.
I'm only missing one thing....things to put the seeds trays in/on to stop all the water pouring our onto my window sills ;D
Any tips for places that sell suitable trays at rock bottom prices?
I use cheap trays :)
For seed trays on window sills I use tin foil. Make sure the foil comes up around all four sides.
You could also make a back and cover with foil too. This helps to prevent your seedlings getting leggy

Good Idea Lauren. :)
Hi Sazhig I use trays for window boxes, picked up on the cheap as and when I see them, I can fit a combination of pots into them, and also split the module trays up so they fit in.
Wilko's?
Cheers for the tips...not sure why I didn't think of ordinary trays ::)...have used foil for todays lot until I can get into town & hunt for cheap trays in the charity shops, wilko's, poundland etc
forgot to mention that I also use the lids and trays from plastic takeaway boxes they are perfect for seedlings - and you get to eat the contents twice ;D ::) (minus the compost LOL)
we also use meat and fruit trays :)
