There is currently a heated debate running in The Basics section where all is revealed.

I'm in the Blue corner.

Would anyone know if sweep potatoes are more prone to wireworm damage than normal spuds?

we definitely didn't have as much slug/anything damage on the sweet potatoes as we had on the spuds  :)

That's odd because even though the sweet pots were very tiny, they were riddles with holes.  The early and main crop spuds were a lot better than the year before.  Perhaps I'm just unlucky.  I wil be growing the sweet pots in tubs in the back garden this year.  Any tips would be gratefully received.

They grow quite well in buckets but need lots of room for the roots which can go pretty deep.

so what size container would you suggest should be the minimum?

A pot 36 in Dia and 30 in depth is what you need.
