CAN ANYBODY HELP.
WE HAVE COME ACROSS SOME WHITE ROOTS, WHICH WE DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE, AS WE ARE NEW LOTTIE OWNERS. WE ARE PULLING UP ALL THE WEEDS AND DIGGING BUT KEEP COMING ACROSS THESE. HAVE PHOTO BUT NOT SURE HOW TO DOWNLOAD.
THANKS
Could it be bindweed? White roots sometimes with branches coming off. Dig out as much as you can if it is.
Janet.
THANK YOU JANET.
IT HAS BRANCHED OFF IN ALL DIRECTIONS, DOSE IT BREAK VERY EASILY AND MUILTIPLY
Welcome to the site Woody, does sound very like Bindweed... :-\
hiya, woody, nice to meet you, yes, sounds like bindweed to me, keep pulling it up and our mate, Eric (84) says never let it flower, ;D
Bindweed is long, white and spaghetti like. It breaks easily and the cross section is solid, unlike couch grass which is hollow.
Just one inch of root left behind will be enough for a new plant.

If it is bindweed, you inevitably will miss bits. Don't panic! Just dig out every bit you can see, every time the ground's empty. It'll take a while, but you will get rid of it in time.
