Title: blueberry bush

i bought a bluberry bush today, am i ok to plant it straightaway and should i add some peat in the ground first  :)

They like acid soil,forked in peat should not be a prob.

They do not like tap water,try to use rain water :)

we added lots of leaves to the planting holes, and sank the plants in black buckets with the bottoms cut out, also, top dress with wood chips..they seem to like it  ;D

You say you bought "a" blueberry bush? They don't do at all well unless you have at least two of them.

ok sorry about all the questions this is all new to me ,why buckets with holes cut out and not straight into the ground, and why is it best to have more than one is it a pollonation thing  :)

our ground is not suitable for blueberries so we potted them into their own compost and buried the bucket as they like damp ground..we got more fruit off our 2 last year then we did before we planted them this way  :)

ours are in Hyacinth's famous black buckits, freebies, ours are from asda, the ones they have the flowers in  ;D
