nah, not for me. Christmas is laid-back FUN.

The sentiments you've written I'd apply to the whole vegetable growing season tho, from seeding to harvest ;D

I think it depends on what is happening in your life. Mostly I have found Xmas fun and relaxed but since peter died I struggle. When my kids were little and money was short  it was a worry - can I balance the books? Peter and I had an illicit visit to midnight mass in the cathedral for our first Xmas. Neither of us was a practising Catholic/Christian, but we both found the liturgy and the carol singing delightful at that time.

I agree,It is hard to enjoy Christmas when life is not going well.

We enjoyed the carol service yesterday and it was very calming.

A reminder what it was all about.

Hope you have a peaceful Christmas Ann. :)

Christmas surely is .... the most wonderful time of the year!  I love it.  Although I don't at the moment because having fought off one lot of germs a couple of weeks ago, I've now got a chest infection  >:(
