Title: Hedgehog
Post by: Ninnyscrops. on November 29, 2008, 23:28:41
Being a petless household now, I saw a fox in the garden the other evening and think it made off with a fatball off the bird feeder that a squirrel had dislodged.

Thinking it must be hungry, the soft side of me put a dish of catfood out (a couple of remaining pouches I had for hedgehogs).

I took a peep behind the curtain just now and there's a baby hedgehog snaffling away!

Had a search and it seems they have to be about 220gms to survive the winter and I don't think it's that big.  Any help appreaciated.

Poor little thing.  There are some FAQ's on here about keeping them warm and feeding and a list of volunteers across the UK who are carers.

Let us know what happens?
