Title: When is a Bargain not a Bargain?
Post by: Susiebelle on November 27, 2008, 16:12:57
There I was buying all those half price bulbs when I spotted pkts of seeds at 10p I thought I would have a rummage and came home with oregano seeds, quite pleased with myself I had a good look at the pkt and discovered it's dated 1984? now where on earth had they been hiding all this time?

I've got some lychnis coronaria seeds that I snaffled from the garden at Down House, Charles Darwin's house in Kent, in 2000. Going to give them a try anyway. Maybe 1984 was a mis-print, perhaps that's why they slashed the price? :D

Perhaps I should run a sweepstake on the germination of my 8-yr-old lychnis seeds? :D
