Title: Freezable????
Post by: shirlton on November 27, 2008, 11:19:39
Does anyone know if you can freeze shop bought pestos and tomato puree. I buy these quite often but only use perhaps half of it and it doesn't keep for more than a week in the fridge. Just wish they would sell it in smaller amounts

Shirlton I freeze home made pesto successfully, but I extend the life of a jar of shop bought by adding a drizzle of olive oil before popping it back in fridge, it seems to work for me.
