How cool, I'm still a teenager (can't lick my elbow though!)... Can definitely hear the 17 kHz one...

I couldn't even hear the 14Hz one- mind you, the dishwasher and the boiler are both on in the room- that's my excuse!
I could hear them all loud and clear but then I can hear a mosquito or other flying insect in my room when I go to bed and have to get up and zap it.
Can't hear anything. Perhaps my sound card's faulty. Or me. Whatever.
I can hear them all - the 17KHz one is well loud - the only one that was a bit feint was the 16KHz one.
All where very clearXX Jeannine
Oh dear. I tried without headphones, admittedly, but can barely hear the 12 KHz, and nothing higher than that.
I did have tinnitus from playing in a rock band, at one point, which probably doesn't help.
Either I can't hear 13 and above, or my cheapie speakers can't play it.
You're nearly as deaf as me, then, Wabbit! :D
Its weired i could hear 11 - 14 pretty load, 15 & 16 at what i say at a moderate hearing, 17 not at all, even when i had some one else play them for me and 18 i could hear just fine although it was the softest. :-\.
Heard them all loud and clear no headphones.....now feel sick!
I bet my husband 5 years younger can't hear them though he turns the TV up 10 levels above what I listen at i'm going to have to get earplugs or not watch TV. I sneaked it down last night when he left the room and he put it back up again when he got back.
Well I won't be going into the shops that play those frequencies to scare off teenagers!
Oops! I have a sick teenager in the house who also heard it!
