Our first pepper has just turned orange :). Never cooked with fresh chilis before so not sure how much to use. Anyone know how hot they actually are? Any/all advice gratefully received.
I was given a plant with a couple of dozen habanero chillies on it......................I can promise you that these are undoubtedly the hottest I have ever tasted (I used to live in West Texas where chilli eating is the norm!)
Be extremely careful when handling them. If you touch your eyes or any other delicate part of the anatomy, you will suffer!! Use washing up gloves and remove all the seeds before cooking.
Good luck
