Title: GREASE BAND QUESTION.

When is the correct time to apply grease bands to recently planted fruit trees.

I put mine on about 3 weeks ago only so I didn't forget them after I bought them. Not sure if that was too late or too early. The experts will be able to tell you better

I don't Duke, it's my first year with fruit trees. Sorry I'm not being very helpful am I.

If you're using the type that you tie or stick on to the tree you'll have to replace them.  They get tattered and lose their stickiness and get covered with debris.  I've never used the grease that you splodge on so no idea about that.
