A while ago I posted pics of how the Passiflora fruits were brightening up my shady corner. Lots have now been eaten by the birds but the Chrysanthemum (a pot plant I just planted in a large pot outside) and Fastia seed heads are now doing the business. :) G x

Very bright on a dull day, lovely Georgie
beautiful - better than any firework display :)
Lovely, Georgie! :-*
D'you know, my first thought when I saw your chrysanthemum was - 'that's like the Whirligig osteospermum'!
My fatsia is in full bloom, too - seems strange, that they choose to flower in November, especially as I think I remember when they were called Aralia Sieboldii - and sold as house plants!

Great minds eh, Grandma? ;D
Yes, I was admiring your Fatsia in the pictures you posted the other day. Yours looks much larger than mine though, how old is it? I'm rather glad that it blooms so late as any hoverflies etc still around seem to like it. But why it does I have no idea, perhaps because it's a tropical plant?
