Title: Senior moment
Post by: betula on November 05, 2008, 16:19:44
While I was gardening yesterday my lower back got covered in bites.

Funny time of year for bites.

Was just putting calamine lotion on them and smelt Menthol and Eucalyptus,
Smothered myself in the stuff. They both have the same shape bottle.

Strangely enough they have stopped itching........

Anybody else had a senior moment?? :)

Me too  ::) ::) ::) ::)

Coming back from Milan on Saturday I bought a bus ticket for the wrong airport.  Realised just as I was about to get onto the right bus.  So I had to go to the nearest ticket seller and persuade them to change the ticket - even though I hadn't bought it from them.

I justify the confusion because I was at the other airport the night before meeting a friend from Brussels.

No, on second thoughts, I'm getting old  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Betula, think you have hit on the best insect repellant going.

On hols once I got bitten badly, the young couple near us were bite free and they told us they
had bought some Eucalyptus oils from a Health shop  --  will say I couldn't detect a smell,
so, it may be the answer.

My senior moment was on a bus in Cyprus with early morning holiday travellers,  the bus door shut
and a suffacating smell of Ammonia rose around us.  I complained to OH that they should keep
the cats out of the buses at night - they have peed everywhere !!

As I do now know - after bite remedy then, was  an Ammonia based product !

   Was a bit ' nave ' then.

I lost my tv remote and found it a week later in the freezer and misplaced my wallet last week, turned the house upside-down for it only to find it a few hrs later in the fridge, that same week i checked my balance at the atm of the bank, went into the bank to cancel  a direct debit to find that my card was missing so reported it as lost, then heard the beeping of the cash machine and realised id left in there minutes earlier, i ran out side to see no one at the atm and as my number was keyed into the machine i could have had money taken out but the bank could not tell me if any money had been withdrawn until the next day, but luckily for me the atm swallowed it and i was returned a few days later ::)  :oi have a terrible memory and im only 36
