When I read the title I thought OAK - Definitely OAK - but apparently not - a mere Walnut. I'm not a wallnut!
But then I read what a wallnut is meant to represent - that's me - passionate, definitely me - strange, me to a fault - noble, who else - spontaneous, ask anyone - unexpected reactions, a definitive statement of me.

I am an Ash tree! Restless lover!!! Have to ask Ava about that one. Demands attention, needs love and much emotional support - oh yeah, that is me. :-\
I forgot to say - I'm Pine.
Some of it is very true. Some of it only slightly true. Some of it not true at all (I'm not a poet!)
Mr Aqui is a weeping willow and he literally did fall from a weeping willow when he was a child. :o
Mine is the hornbeam tree.
Mmmmmmm Good taste - erm - yes. :-[ :)
Reasonable and disciplined life - sort of. :-\
Seeks kindness and acknowledgement in emotional partner -yes. :)
Dreams of unusual lovers????????????????? Like what exactly?????????? :o ???
Mistrusts most people - no. :(
Very concientious - yes. :)
Never sure of descisions - no. :(
All in all much like yours Aqui, some right, some wrong.
Eileen.
Hey I'm a Cedar Tree - except I am NOT ;D But I am lucky that Mr W is an Apple Tree - except that I'm not sure I recognise him from the description - much as I love him!! ::)
Sorry, eileen, but PHOOEY!
With 21 different trees that means that in this country alone there are approximately 2,500,000 people to each tree - mind you, I suppose that it`s not quite as silly as newspaper horoscopes with over 4,000,000 people to each star sign.
With 2,500,000 chances, even the daftest statement is bound to apply to somebody, and the more statements you include in each prediction, the more likely it is that one or more will apply. That`s not Celtic astrology, mythology, soothsaying, second sight, or anything else weird and wonderful - its simply the law of statistical probabilities.
And that is quite apart from the fact that at the time that the Celts were an identifiable race/nation several of the trees mentioned had not even been introduced to celtic lands.
Hi Aqui
I started reading your post expecting it to be "a heap of hooey" but found myself laughing out loud when I looked up certain people's birthdays!
I myself are an elm ... pleasant shape (does size 12 count ?!?)
tasteful clothes ... NOT A CHANCE! I am a welly wearer and proud of it! But the rest of it made me wonder about myself and how others see me! Having said that, I don't believe a word of the horoscopes in the paper! Still, it made me laugh and my daughter is taking a printed off version in to school tomorrow! You're famous at last!!!
Just a bit of harmless fun Hugh to while away the time until the rain stops. :D You surely didn't believe that I thought it was all true did you????? ???
Eileen.
I'm a Rowan - I can life with that!
;DWow I'm a poplar, seems pretty true to me, in fact smack on. 8)forgot to say Frank is an apple tree and thats true to.
;D Val, I see you "look very decorative" ... are you sitting at your computer in a ball gown and stilettoes?!?
Fir tree (Mysterious) -- extraordinary taste, handles stress well, loves anything beautiful, stubborn, tends to care for those close to them, hard to trust others, yet a social butterfly, likes idleness and laziness after long demanding hours at work, rather modest, talented, unselfish, many friends, very reliable.
Ones I've underlined are very very wrong. I'm not sure about this as I'm more of an apple tree and maybe I am, what with being born 2 minutes into July 5th. Maybe I'm a bit of both, a crossbreed if you will. ;D
TrailRat
;DHi Spurdie..of course doesn't everyone? I do like bright colours and wear the ear-rings and the eye make up but also very much a wellies and t-shirt sort of gal. Maybe the decorative bit is the dirt I attract, can't keep clean more than 5 mins. I'd love to be a size 12 again, how do you manage it, I stopped the smoking then pow went up 2 sizes...never been back since :'( :'( :'( My daughter walked off with a copy to, she pounced on it, now I guess its circulating round Herne Bay.This is proving to be very 'poplar' Aqui, keep them coming. ;D
Well I am a Poplar:
Don't know about the uncertainty bit - can usually make my mind up about things fairly quickly.
Definitely NOT decorative - spend most of my life in jeans and teashirt (not worth wearing good clothes with my mad dogs :D)
Quite talented & artistic I suppose - fairly good with my hands, play keyboard, make dolls, quite green-fingered, quite good at drawing -(think my brains must be in my hands :D) Also used to dance as a youngster - still can a bit ;) :)
Quite self-confident always been quite outward going (so that bit is wrong)
Courageous - I should say so - have been through quite a number of operations on various parts - also can stand pain at the dentist - never have an injection ;D
Like pleasant surroundings - especially gardens :)
Never lonely - tend to be quite philosophic and reliable and quite good at organising.
Definitely take partnership seriously - have been married for 47 years on 31st August ;D
So all in all sums me up pretty well I think.
Pat
;D Hi Val,
Size isn't everything (according to men!), so long as you FEEL good! I will admit I'm not a glamorous person at all, and feel ridiculous in a frock! I can't put on makeup to save my life, and usually end up like Alice Cooper after a fight with the mascara brush! Lipstick is something I apply with trepidation, knowing I'll have made a mess of it within 3 seconds.
As for being a size 12, I'm just lucky I can eat anything and not put on any weight - it's not because I work out or anything. Although they do say gardening is a great way of keeping fit!
I was surprised to find out my tree was a Fig tree. Strange, I dont like figs or the trees themselves.
However on reading the description, i found this was me spot -on. ;D.
Almost more accurate than my star sign!
Cypress Tree (Faithfulness) -- strong, muscular, adaptable, takes what life has to give but doesn't necessarily like it, strives to be content, optimistic, wants to be financially independent, wants love and affection, hates loneliness, passionate lover which cannot be satisfied, faithful, quick-tempered at times, can be unruly and careless, loves to gain knowledge, needs to be needed.
This is so me!! ;D not all bad
Sam
I'm a weeping willow - melancholy, and the description was spot on. Glug ( sound of large pinch of salt being swallowed), but uncannily true!
;DIf only we could just swop the bits around we don't like about ourselves or recognise, ladies we could pick the perfect fella...bliss...No perhaps not, fiddling with his bits might not be a good idea after all. ;D ;D
Let me do a proper breakdown of mine
