Can anybody identify this tree, it has been growing as a 'weed' and I wondered if it was a Rowan.

Yes it certainly looks like a Rowan Ellie. Lovely trees :D

Thanks for confimation that it is a Rowan. I thought it was a I get loads of berries all over the garden but this one seems to have more sections to the leaf, ie 15 and the tree in the garden only has 11. Anyway I shall contiue to nuture it.

It is not a young Sumach is it?
When it looses its leaves it will be identifiable from the buds which would be different on each.

It's supposed to be very lucky to have a Rowan 'accidentally' seed in your garden. Check your lottery tickets!
