Title: A Real Frost
Post by: growmore on October 29, 2008, 10:22:26
For the first time in a couple of years we had what I call a real frost this morning.
All the paths on lotty were solid to walk on .It had flattened the beans and other tender stuff..Although it's a bit early in the year its' good to see a frost like we used to get.. There's been too many warm late autumns and early winters of late ..When trees and plants didn't know wether they were coming or going ..
Two years ago we had blossom come on a pear tree in Nov..
We may now be able to get back to what we were used to on the garden side.
But then again this cold snap may be temporary..At least while it's here it may give the whitefly something to think about.. We can live in hope.. :)

Not sure we had such a hard frost this morning but I am sure it will get rid of some of the nasties.

;) ;)
