I've lots of black grapes, not sweet enough to eat, used to make wine but don't drink much any more..
I'd like to make grape juice, do I just use a juicer, mash them with the potato masher and strain, any ideas gratefully appreciated ;D
manic send them to me ill make a batch out of them
cheeky ;D
I took our Concord grapes and put them in a Foley Food Mill (you turn a handle which mashes a blade against the grapes and retains the seeds and skins. Usually I used it for applesauce but it worked fine on the grapes.) It made plenty of juice that I thickened and made Concord grape pies with. That was the first we'd ever tasted and they were delish.
thanks, grannieannie, I have a fruit juicer that retains all the skin etc so will try that ;D
