Welcome back Elizabeth. It's a shame you felt you had to ask it but really, the majority of people on here are fantastic and like Marg says - the ignore button is a very handy tool! Hope you enjoy your time on the site :)
welcome back Elizabeth. I hope it is safe. Probably best not to use the word "computer" for a bit though, while i'm on-off-on-off-line ???
Thank you all for replies. Will give up date on allotments, when I return from where ever I am going today? :-\
Hello again :)
Hello! Will be interesting to read of your first season with the new raised beds - hope it was productive for you and the others and gave everyone enjoyment....and runner beans. Lots and lots of fresh tender runner beans? I can't remember if a greenhouse was part of the plan, but several of the ladies I garden for had great success with outdoor tumbling toms this year planted in deep tubs so that they trailed over the sides. Hassle free to grow and so prolific 8) and the tubs can be fitted in anywhere. Look forward to reading of your experiences over the boards.
welcome back hope everything has gone well for you ;D looking forward to hearing what progress you have made
Hi Elizabeth, welcome.. and welcome again. I was offline when the original problem started so couldn't say hi then.
This is a fabulous site, rather like a huge family, and yes we do have a couple of family members who can be very naughty..just keep them off your Christmas card list they don't deserve the ink it takes to respond.
So can you tell us about your plots etc.
Take care and never mind the toe..just dive in, there are planty of life guards around.
XX Jeannine

Hi Elizabeth - don't I know you from somewhere? ;)
No, I'm not the one with the red hair ;)
Thank you all for re-newed welcome, we have 10 raised beds now, and two we use for Comfrey and herbs, but at the moment we are growing pumpkins in the herby bit, also all the work has been done by Lin, Andrew and me with a little help from Vernon. We have a fine compost bin up and running and a water butt which we are going to use to put Comfrey in for fertiliser, as for watering we use a hose from Vern's place, he's not on a water meter, and we get wetter than the plots as there so much messing about. Well the older residents have been supplied with , beans, peas, carrots, french beans, potato's and little tiny beetroots. But next season will be bigger and better. No greens as we had to feed the :-X nice and fluffy caterpillars, but we have now put in more to overwinter. Enough rabbiting for now. Bye
hiya, elizabeth, nice to see you back..glad you had a good season, hope next year is more fruitful..if you need herb cuttings, let me know, we've lots of cuttings on the go ;D
