hi tim,

Pic looks great. Wondered if you could help me i  brought some Thompson and morgan carrots seeds today which you can sow Feb - oct but it does not say anything about using a cold frame!! Do i need one or can i just plant them out?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'm not the expert - I would have thought that it was a bit late to sow unprotected?

OK i might just plant them to see what happen's! On the back is saying There bred for autumn sowing, exceptionally early and cold resistant. I'll never know till i try lol

Thanks lucy  ;D

I got some of those last winter... sowed in a frame, for depth of soil, uncovered. Germinated well but did nothing until spring but were ready to eat by mid March...
