They could open a Soup Kitchen instead??
Just an evening's drinks bill for your average pop or football star! ;) ;)
Are you sorting out your Christmas hamper already, Tim?!?!
Shame its so so very expensive ~it would be nice to see the fortnums horse and cart pull into my driveway!!
Duke
No such thing as a free meal - or free delivery either, Tim. For 'Free' read 'delivery price costed in'?
I can't make out the price??
Need their spectacles, too?
Don't look!
Tell me Tim. :)
I want one along with the Aga.Red. :)
Oh I just had a look on their site, I was going to buy a Christmas pudding as I can't make one this year, but £30 put me off a bit , mind you the £1400 wedding cake was very impressiveXX Jeannine

£500 for a 100g Tin of fish eggs!!!
Okay I'm going to stick my neck out here. I like Fortnums! The service in that place is impeccable and they sell a wide range of foods, not just things for the super rich. I'm partial to their cheese counter and here's a little tip. They also sell mundane things like cream crackers so if you are ever in the smoke pay a visit, buy a few basics and get a carrier bag - they last for years! ;D

Nevertheless Georgie I'm sure you'd agree that 25 grand for a Xmas hamper is a tad outrageous,,, not that it's not the price of the stuff in the hamper etc ;D ;D ;D Cor I could get two Agas for that - installed n all. :-\ :-\ ;D
Now there's an ad I'd like to see on the telly -
Mater's gone to Fortnums!
;D

I wouldn't eat most of the stuff in that hamper for a variety of reasons. That said I'm rather partial to Cropwell Bishop Stilton but as my nephew lives minutes away from where it's produced he can get it for me anytime I like. I'd be willing to give most of the drinks a go though. :D It sounds like a lot of money to spend on a hamper but I doubt it's aimed at the likes of me. Oh and I don't have room for one Aga, let alone two!

£25,000 betula. How many are you going to order?
Georgie - agree - they have some great stuff - esp the Cheeses.
And the Tea Room is useful on occasion?

Yes indeed. Far better than a glass of not quite chilled, over-priced white wine served in a plastic (!) wine glass in the forecourt of the RA and a welcome rest before/after spending hours browsing in Hatchards. ;D

mightly big hangover with a 3 litre bottle of vodka !!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
So, here's a question - what would you need to be earning to buy a hamper like this?
Ollie it wouldnt matter how much income i had, i couldnt buy that
lbb
I would reckon half a million upwards???
Even if I could afford it I probally would not buy one.Very wasteful.Almost obscene really.I will have one in my dreams. ;D
Now little red Aga is different............... ;D
Mmmmmmmmm.. ;D ;D ;D ;D
They are having a laugh look close, socks and hotwater bottle cover !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I ask you ;D ;D ;D ;D
