Mad Frank was one of my 'mates' on the allotment .. we shared a plot for about 3 yrs.
He lost ALL his toes to arthritis and 'they' said he wouldn't walk again.
But the little bugger (with all his mis-spelt tattoes and his lack of teeth) still remained one of the best winter diggers on the allotment :D
No toes, no teeth - fantastic personality and SORELY missed :(
I posted a pic of him on here once - it was upside down! Typical of the man!
If anyone can find it I would be grateful if you could post it back XXX
Sorry to hear the sad news.
Did a quick search for you...

Sorry to hear your sad news Trixie. I know how you feel last year I lost a very close friend who I first met in 1977. She was only 62. You should have seen the pair of us on our nights out with the gang.
Sorry to hear of your sad news. At least you have happy memories.

Aww Trixie so sorry. Hugs and stuff. Life is so diminished when good folk move on.

So sorry,
He looks like he was quite a character!
He was buried today :-[
Under a tree in the cemetary in a hole that he would have dug himself if he'd been alive but he's not.
A great man XX
A sad day for you Trixie.
Sending hugs :)
Sending hugs xx
So sad. A hug for you, Trixie and a big cuddle for your gorgeous Alfie xxx
thinking and sending cyber hugs to you and frank's family :-\
Sad news, Trixie. I heard this week that the chap who has the plot next to mine died at the weekend in the local hospice. I couldn't believe it as it's only a few weeks since he was working as hard as ever on his plot. These old allotmenteers are certainly made of strong stuff. I can't say i knew him that well as we weren't often there at the same time, but it will be strange if the plot goes to someone else.RIP both of them.
